KJLH Radio Announces Community Partnership with CCC
Station will Offer Members Competitive Rates

By: Daniella Masterson
KJLH Radio National Sales Manager Edward C. Evans would like to help members of the Crenshaw Chamber of Commerce begin the New Year with maximum profits.  Evans has proposed a community partnership with the chamber, allowing members an opportunity to enhance awareness of their business in the marketplace by promoting it on the station.
“We need to have better synergy between our media and our businesses to drive awareness and commerce in our community,” said Evans.
“I would like to offer chamber members an opportunity to advertise on the station at a competitive price.  I wouldn’t call it a discount, but it would definitely be competitive. We would customize a campaign to address a company’s marketing needs at a reasonable price.”
Community partnerships offer businesses and nonprofits a chance to create shared value.  The collaboration with KJLH would afford members of the chamber an opportunity to have competitive rates and professional guidance on creating a branding campaign with the station.
KJLH would offer four levels of community partnership:

Evans said businesses shouldn’t limit advertising with KJLH to on-air commercials.  KJLH is a community-engaged station that participates in or produces events that have high awareness among African Americans throughout Southern California.
“The station has many ways of helping businesses with community outreach,” said Evans.
“The biggest event we have is the Women’s Health Expo in April.  That attracts nearly 10,000 women,” he said.   Upcoming events include Stevie Wonder’s House Full of Toys Benefit Concert in December, MLK in January, and Black History Month’s Proven Achievers Honors in February.
“The sooner we can plan, the better opportunity for cost-efficient marketing campaigns,” said Evans.
